Liebe Ultimate-Family, Freund*innen und Unterstützer*innen!

Die Mosquitos aus Klosterneuburg schreiben Geschichte: Als erstes österreichisches Team überhaupt wurden wir letzten September Klub-Europameister – und gehen somit als 4. gesetztes Team in die World Ultimate Club Championships 2026! Von 15. bis 22. August treten wir in Limerick, Irland gegen die besten Teams der Welt an, mit der Chance, dort erneut Geschichte zu schreiben.

Für uns als Team geht damit ein riesiger Traum in Erfüllung. Hinter diesem Erfolg stecken Jahre harter Arbeit. Viele von uns trainieren bis zu 10 Stunden pro Woche, zusätzlich zu Trainingscamps und Turnieren an den Wochenenden, und das neben Job, Studium, Familie und anderen Verpflichtungen . Ultimate ist eben (noch) kein Sport, der sich selbst finanziert.

Um diese Reise für alle Spieler*innen möglich zu machen, freuen wir uns riesig über Eure Unterstützung für das Turnier und die intensive Vorbereitung darauf. Dear Ultimate Family, friends and supporters!

The Mosquitos from Klosterneuburg are writing history: as the first Austrian team ever, we became European Club Champions last September – and that earns us the 4th seed heading into the World Ultimate Club Championships 2026! From August 15th to 22nd, we'll take on the best teams in the world in Limerick, Ireland, with the chance to make history again.

For us as a team, this is a huge dream coming true. Behind this success are years of hard work. Many of us train up to 10 hours a week, on top of training camps and tournaments on weekends, all while juggling jobs, studies, family and other commitments. Ultimate simply isn't (yet) a sport that funds itself.
